Job summary

Foley Power Solutions in Park City, Kansas is seeking a skilled engine technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on engines within a busy shop. You will diagnose problems, recommend repairs, and execute critical repairs and adjustments to ensure reliability.

The role requires hands-on mechanical work, the ability to read and interpret technical literature, and the use of basic and precision tools across various engine brands.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments.
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics and other related publications.
• Experience with all makes and models of engine rebuilds.
• Ability to foster positive relationships internally and externally.

Responsibilities

Job description

Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on engines as well as diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments. This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment.

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements

• Safely and repeatedly lift components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance.
• Safely lift, carry, and lower components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials.
• Climb on and off equipment and work at varying heights.
• Stand, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
• Safely operate tools and equipment.
