Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking an Engine System Cooling Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI for a long-term contract. You will design, develop, validate, and release cooling components for electrified vehicles, including radiators, fans, hoses, and valves.

You will coordinate CAE, DFMEA, and DVP&R activities and work with suppliers to ensure manufacturability. Responsibilities include leading packaging, development, testing, and documentation, while addressing quality and cost reductions post-launch to meet

Engine System Cooling Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Duration: Long-term contract

Pay Rate: $49.50 - $50.90/hr

Overview

The Engine System Cooling team designs, develops, validates, and releases cooling components for electrified vehicles. Components include:

• Cooling module assemblies (radiator, condenser, electric fan assembly)
• Transmission oil coolers
• High- and low-pressure hose and tube assemblies
• Electric coolant heaters
• Valves and pumps

Components are developed using industry best practices and methodologies, including CAE, System Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Design Validation Plans (DVP&R).

Responsibilities

• Own a set of cooling components across all stages of vehicle development
• Lead early packaging and development of components to meet cooling functional objectives
• Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, and testing activities, along with associated documentation
