Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking an Engine System Cooling Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI for a long-term contract. You will design, develop, validate, and release cooling components for electrified vehicles, including radiators, fans, hoses, and valves.

You will coordinate CAE, DFMEA, and DVP&R activities and work with suppliers to ensure manufacturability. Responsibilities include leading packaging, development, testing, and documentation, while addressing quality and cost reductions post-launch to meet

• Experience applying CAE, DFMEA, and DVP&R to vehicle cooling systems.
• Ability to lead packaging and development to meet cooling goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with design, prototyping, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own a set of cooling components across all stages of vehicle development.
• Lead early packaging and development of components to meet cooling functional objectives.
• Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, and testing activities, along with associated documentation.
• Partner with suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability, and track supplier progress to meet part maturity and creation milestones.
• Support vehicle assembly and testing, resolving any component-related issues identified.
• Address quality concerns and identify potential cost reductions post-launch.
