Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a New Product Introduction Performance Engineer to join the Global System Engineering and Product Performance Capability team. You will work on engine performance models, 1D thermodynamic simulations and multi-subsystem integration to predict and verify system attributes.

The role requires a degree in engineering or physics, 2+ years of experience or advanced degrees, and programming skills (C++, Python, MATLAB).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics; 2+ years of experience, or higher degrees.
• US Citizenship preferred and security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with engine performance modeling or NPSS-like tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the definition of the Engine Performance or Product Performance cycle.
• Provide prediction and analysis of product attributes at whole system level.
• Gather, manage and disseminate requirements from internal and external customers.
• Define and manage system and product interfaces.
• Provide insight into product/aircraft interaction and real-world operation.
