Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Livonia, MI is seeking an Engine Dynamometer Technician I to setup and operate an engine test cell. You will handle engine set-up, test instrumentation, monitor the test while the engine runs, perform health checks, and remove the engine after testing, working with engineers and support staff on customer-based tests.

Immediate start for a 6-month assignment with pay rates of $22–$24 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years automotive mechanical experience.
• Self-starter with strong detail orientation.
• Excellent engine mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Proficient with computers, including MS Office.
• Must own tools and a rolling toolbox.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Flexible, eager to learn, with strong communication and customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up engine dynamometer test cell and equipment.
• Monitor tests and instrument readings while engines run.
• Perform regular engine health checks during tests.
• Remove engines after test completion and document results.
• Collaborate with engineers and support staff on customer testing.
