Job summary

Arctic Cat is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Engine to drive the design and development of engine systems for snowmobiles and off-road vehicles. The role covers 2- and 4-stroke engines, fuel delivery, exhaust, and turbocharging, with potential involvement in vehicle integration and NVH improvements.

You will use Siemens NX for 3D modeling, create drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering required.
• 2 or more years of relevant experience working with engines and powertrain related components.

Responsibilities

• Establish specifications and design requirements for engines and components.
• Design and analyze layouts, components, and drawings with GD&T and perform tolerance analyses.
• Utilize 3D modeling software (Siemens NX) to produce models and drawings and coordinate with CAD designers.
• Perform analysis and calculations for engine component designs using FEA, CFD, and dynamic simulations.
• Prepare drawings, BOMs, and costs; adhere to project schedules.
• Develop prototype part plans and oversee fabrication and assembly of prototypes.
• Create test and validation plans for new designs and monitor performance against requirements.
• Assist in BOM accuracy and ECN processes; support service manuals.
