Job summary

Toyota Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Engine Calibration Engineer in the United States (Ann Arbor area) to calibrate engine control systems meeting regulatory and customer requirements. You will collaborate with the PCE1 department to deliver world-class powertrain calibration for NA markets.

You will conduct calibration activities, manage schedules, analyze data, and prepare reports, while coordinating with teams in Japan and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of engine calibration experience.
• Experience with tailpipe emissions and U.S. Federal and California regulations.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a diverse calibration team to meet NA and global requirements.
• Perform engine calibration to achieve emissions, fuel economy, and OBD targets.
• Develop calibration schedules and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
• Collect data, analyze results, and prepare technical reports.
• Review engine control logic from C-source and specs to support calibration.
• Work with powertrain teams including Japan counterparts to ensure successful projects.
• Develop procedures and tools for testing and data analysis.
