Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Pennsylvania is seeking motivated individuals for the Processing Department to dismantle automobiles safely and efficiently.

You will learn vehicle dismantling, tagging and storing parts, and work with engine dismantlers, while complying with all safety standards. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Background in body repair, mechanical work, or dismantling experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• May be required to own a personal set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dismantler/Trainer with dismantling vehicles.
• Learn the system of dismantling, tagging and storing parts.
• Work with Engine Dismantlers to learn engine dismantling.
• Comply with all safety standards and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

May write brief messages and keep simple records.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
