Job summary

Caterpillar Seguin, Texas is seeking a Production Technician to join our team. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot cutting-edge engines while emphasizing quality and safety.

We offer 1st and 2nd shifts with overtime as needed, starting pay at $18.50 per hour and comprehensive benefits. This role provides growth opportunities within Caterpillar's IPSD division and a path to higher responsibilities through hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ months in machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environments or industry certification.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and/or PowerPoint.
• Must adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Align and secure engine components according to work instructions.
• Install gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components.
• Ensure parts and materials used in assembly are defect-free.
• Assist in problem-solving and improvement initiatives across departments.
• Verify alignment of engine components using schematics and part prints.
• Inspect parts and materials for quality defects.
• Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspections on engines.
• Submit and support resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and area-specific instructions.
• Provide process information to supervisors and managers.
• Occasionally participate in training and development.
• Perform any other assigned duties.
