Job summary

Boom is seeking an Integration Engineer focused on engine assembly to define and own production-ready processes. You will develop assembly sequences, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions while documenting knowledge for repeatable, high-quality builds.

You’ll partner with design, quality, and test teams to ensure performance targets are met and support hands-on builds, troubleshooting live issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting engine or turbomachinery assembly.
• Hands-on exposure to gas turbine, turbofan, or industrial engine builds.
• Strong mechanical intuition and ability to diagnose assembly-related issues.
• Comfortable working closely with technicians and test teams during live builds.
• Fluent in interpreting drawings, tolerances, and assembly requirements.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and collaboration skills in a team.
• Excels in a high-energy, independent environment.
• Calm, methodical approach when things don’t fit the first time.

Responsibilities

• Define and own engine assembly processes for production.
• Develop assembly sequences, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
• Capture and refine engine assembly knowledge into clear procedures.
• Partner with design, quality, and test teams to meet performance requirements.
• Support hands-on engine builds and troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Drive continuous improvement in assembly efficiency and quality.
• Support engine teardown, inspection, and rebuild activities as designs evolve.
• Help scale assembly operations for higher-rate production.
