Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 60 semester credits from a regionally accredited college or university are required.
• Criminal history background check and fingerprint card must be completed.
• Substitute teaching license must be approved by the Kansas State Department of Education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret lesson plans, procedures and textbooks.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective time management strategies.
• Ability to present information to students and respond to questions.
• Flexibility to work with students of all ages in diverse classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
• Create a classroom conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Maintain school routines and classroom procedures.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in locations and times designated.
