Job summary

YMCA of Central Maryland, Inc. seeks a qualified Personal Trainer to deliver high-quality, engaging workouts for members, guests, and program participants. You will lead 1-on-1, partner, and group sessions, tailoring programs to individual needs in a safe, welcoming environment.

Under the Fitness Director's supervision, maintain certifications, pursue CEUs, and document appointments while upholding YMCA values and community health goals.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized personal training certification required.
• Maintain required CECs and ongoing trainings.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and wellness levels.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-on-1, partner, and group training sessions.
• Provide engaging, high-quality exercise routines.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all participants.
• Record appointments and communicate with supervisor.
• Inspect and report equipment issues as needed.
• Adhere to YMCA policies and code of conduct.
• Attend meetings and embody the Y values in daily work.
