Job summary

Rio Hondo College is establishing a continuous pool of part-time, hourly Accounting Instructor positions for the main campus. Assignments may include teaching during the day, evening, weekends, or online as needed to meet department needs.

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in accountancy or business with a CPA or CMA pathway, and/or a California Community College Credential, with emphasis on diversity and inclusion. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accountancy or business administration with an accounting concentration.
• Bachelor’s degree in business with accounting emphasis or economics with accounting emphasis, and a Master’s degree in business or related fields.
• Equivalent qualifications or a valid California Community College Credential.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned during day or evening, weekday or weekends or online.
• Demonstrate commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in teaching.
• Perform other duties normally expected of community college faculty as described by policy and law.
