Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hall is seeking a substitute teacher to run a class in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity and a positive learning environment.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate work in subject matter and/or counseling, have at least one year of school teaching and administration experience, and display excellent verbal and written communication along with leadership and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate work in subject matter and/or counseling.
• Minimum of one year of teaching and administration experience in a school environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school policies
• Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time, and in a manner that motivates students to learn and participate
• Organizes students for effective instruction
• Completes a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular classroom teacher
• Collects and places students’ papers for the regular teacher’s review
• Complies with and supports school regulations and policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the division head
