Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is hiring a Middle School Science Teacher for Urbana Middle School. Under the guidance of the Principal, you will facilitate student learning, create tailored educational strategies, and manage classroom dynamics. A Bachelor's degree with licensure and a valid Illinois Teaching License is required. Experience with bilingual and EL students is preferred. This position is structured as per the Urbana Education Association and with a start date for the school year 2026-2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with licensure and content endorsement.
• 2-3 years of teaching experience at this educational level.
• Valid Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes and prepare effective lesson plans.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for learning.
