Job summary

Crescent Academy is seeking a passionate Math Teacher for grades 7th–8th to join our team in Michigan. The role requires creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a love for math, and delivering instruction that accommodates diverse learning needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Michigan secondary education teaching certificate with an endorsement in mathematics, and possess strong communication and organizational skills to support students, families, and colleagues in a dynamic school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement for secondary education in the subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum and state standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive math lesson plans aligned to standards and diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance using tests, quizzes, projects and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings and events to support the school mission.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
