Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a Grade Level Teacher to plan and provide learning experiences aligned with the standards and district expectations. Under supervision, the teacher will manage classrooms, assess student progress, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learners in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include planning using CCSS, maintaining records, collaborating with staff, and participating in committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Education) or related field.
• Illinois Teaching Certificate.
• Understanding and experience with curriculum design, planning and instruction.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in a variety of school settings.
• Monitors and evaluate student outcomes.
• Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet diverse learners.
• Monitors use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.
• Plans and provides instruction aligned to Common Core Standards.
• Administers informal and formal assessments.
• Implements district initiatives within instruction.
• Evaluates student progress against objectives.
• Maintains accurate records for instructional/non-instructional purposes.
• Ensures classroom organization and safety.
