Job summary

Mid-Del Schools is seeking a Certified Teacher to establish a positive classroom environment and deliver state standards-aligned instruction. The role emphasizes maintaining records and collaborating with parents, staff, and administrators to support student growth.

The candidate should hold Oklahoma teaching certification, a bachelor’s degree, and prior classroom experience. This exempt, site-based position reports to Secondary Instruction and requires adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Teaching certification recognized by the State of Oklahoma.
• Previous experience with children or in a classroom setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all records and the comprehensive computer database necessary to complete the annual child counts and other state and federal reports.
• Teaches academic content as designated to pupils in a classroom, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education, and activities aligned to current state standards.
• Adheres to district and school policies as set forth by district/site handbooks.
• A learning environment that allows all students to feel safe and successful.
• Instructs pupils in basic subject matter specified in state law and regulations and procedures of the school district.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to each pupil.
• Monitors and evaluates pupils' academic and social growth toward goals, makes adjustments, keeps records, and prepares progress reports.
• Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupil's progress and interpret the school program.
• Identifies pupil needs and collaborates with other staff to provide interventions/resources for health, social-emotional, and academic needs.
• Enhances professional pedagogy through district-provided and self-selected growth opportunities.
