Alvord Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for an Intermediate School Teacher pool position at Alvord Intermediate School in Alvord, Texas. The role focuses on delivering core subject instruction, maintaining high expectations, and supporting student growth in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, Texas teaching certification with endorsements for the subject and grade level, and at least one year of student teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• At least one year student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum.
• Plan and use instruction reflecting differences in student learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA policies and district regulations.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers; collaborate with staff.
