Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee teaching license.

• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for class and shows evidence of preparation.
• Plans to teach a course of study, assigns lessons, and corrects homework papers.
• Prepares for assigned classes using appropriate materials.
• Uses audiovisual/technological aids and other materials to supplement the presentation.
• Maintains organized lessons and records of progress.
• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress and needs.
• Enforces school rules and maintains attendance and records.
• Collaborates with staff to support students with learning differences.
