ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist a 14-year-old male in the Oneida area with community activities, safety awareness, and communication skills. The role requires after-school availability and potential travel to various community locations.

The position is part-time/per diem with starting pay of $19.25 per hour, with increases based on relevant experience. Must be at least 18, hold a NY driver’s license, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individual with activities in the community.
• Identify safety issues and support positive communication skills.
• Travel to different community locations for activities and supports.
