Job summary

Allsaints Beaumont is seeking an After-School Care Counselor to supervise and engage students in a safe, enriching environment after school. The role includes planning age-appropriate activities, offering homework help, and supporting positive behavior during Pre-K through 8th grade.

The position is part-time with hours typically 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM and flexible to school schedules. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings preferred.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passionate about working with children of varied ages and backgrounds.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Must pass background checks and meet licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure safety of students at all times.
Create and implement engaging activities (arts/crafts, games, enrichment, outdoor play).
Assist with homework and provide academic support when needed.
Foster a respectful, inclusive environment for all students.
Communicate with students, parents, and staff.
Monitor attendance and daily check-in/check-out procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of spaces.
Follow school/program policies and emergency protocols.
Support events or extended care days as needed.
