Job summary

Newark Rehabilitation is seeking an Activity Aide to help create a stimulating environment for patients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement personalized activities that match each patient’s needs and interests.

You will support patients during activities, help track participation and progress, and contribute to the ongoing development of activity programs. This role emphasizes safety, compassion, and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare, geriatric care, or recreational therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing recreational activities (arts & crafts, games, excursions).
• Provide support and supervision to patients during activities.
• Maintain accurate records of patient participation, progress, and feedback.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to adapt activities to patient goals and outcomes.
• Participate in meetings and help develop activity programs and policies.
