Qualifications

• Valid CNA license in CA.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
• Prior experience as activity aide or director is a plus.
• CPR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individual and group activities for residents according to their functional levels and interests.
• Support residents' needs and preferences, routines, concerns and choices.
• Communicate information to the supervisor and other caregivers as appropriate.
• Provide activities to bed-bound residents and those confined to rooms with life-long interests.
• Adapt activities to cognitive and physical levels using prompts and assistance.
• Assist Activity Director in developing activity calendars and post them on units.
• Monitor environment for safety hazards and report issues to supervisor or charge nurse.
• Keep activity equipment and spaces clean and organized.
