Safire-Rehabilitation-of-Northtowns-LL seeks an energetic Activity Aide for Northtowns Care Center in Buffalo, NY. The role leads residents in scheduled recreational activities, including singing, arts and crafts, painting, and movement.

Responsibilities include planning activities, visiting residents, assisting with newsletters and calendars, coordinating volunteer programs, and helping transport residents to activities. Video-call support is also provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Demonstrated skills in one of: music (vocal or instrumental), arts & crafts, movement/exercise, painting or ceramics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and promoting recreation based on individualized needs and interests and encourage participation.
• Visit bed-bound residents and provide appropriate recreation services.
• Assist with monthly newsletter and recreation calendar.
• Assist with volunteer program, admission assessments, and community interaction programs.
• Ensure residents and families receive high-quality service in a caring atmosphere.
• Assist in transportation of residents to and from activities.
• Assist residents with FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom, and Facebook video calls.
