Job summary

St. Charles Borromeo School in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated 5th grade teacher who loves God, the Catholic faith, and 5th graders.

This teacher will work with our dynamic middle school team and partner with parents in bringing out the best in our kids, within a 7-period day.

Our mission is to form disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for faith, virtue, service, and academics, continuing a tradition of Catholic education since 1939.

Responsibilities

• Provide an engaging learning environment where students understand and meet expectations
• Maintain high academic standards while challenging each student to always do their best
• Instill strong character, Catholic values, and a love for learning
• Work with students who have IEPs or need accommodations to reach their full potential
• Be committed to continually developing skills and improving as a teacher
• Partner with our parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each student
• Honor and support school initiatives, administrative decisions, the vision of our archdiocese, and the Catholic Church
• Participate as a member of the faculty team in professional development, committee responsibilities, and school initiatives
• Design engaging lessons that support and enhance our curriculum
• Form assessments that are meaningful and will demonstrate the student’s level of mastery
• Take pride in their job as a Catholic school teacher
• Begin teaching immediately
