Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district requirements and show written evidence of preparation
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies
• Plan using instructional strategies and materials suited to students’ learning needs
• Assess student achievement and use results to guide instruction
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and staff
• Use technology to enhance the teaching/learning process
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as needed
• Maintain classroom environment conducive to learning and safe for students
