Job summary

Lyon County School District is seeking an Elementary/Intermediate Teacher for grades 5 and 6 at Silver Stage Middle in Nevada. The position is salaried (EXEMPT) with an 9-month or 185/189-day employment term, benefits include employer-paid retirement, and salary range $50,761-$92,279 depending on experience.

The teacher will implement curriculum aligned to Nevada Academic Content State Standards, manage a positive classroom environment, and adhere to LCSD standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education and be certified in the relevant subject area.
• Meet the minimum qualifications as listed on the position vacancy announcement.

Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with Nevada State Standards.
• Ensure opportunity for all students to learn in a respectful environment.
• Create and maintain an academically focused instructional environment.
• Develop and implement lessons using the LCSD lesson plan template.
• Analyze student progress and provide individualized instruction and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with IEPs and related mandates.
• Maintain classroom safety and discipline; contribute to School Performance Plan.
