Job summary

Plante Moran invites entry-level candidates to join our team, supporting internal clients with a service mindset and accuracy. You will route requests, review peer work, and collaborate with in-office and remote staff across time zones.

The role requires 0-1 years of customer service experience, a HS diploma, and familiarity with accounting basics. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat is preferred. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years customer service experience or equivalent coursework
  • HS Diploma required. Higher level of education/college coursework preferred.
  • Students and graduates, preferable areas of studies: Accounting, Audit, Finance, Banking, Insurance, or another economic-related discipline
  • Knowledge of accounting (basic) preferred
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, and Word required
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to use a variety of resources to learn new tasks
  • Ability to proofread with strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to easily adapt to changes and challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to work within a team environment and assist peers as needed
  • Some overtime and weekend work required

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to internal Firm clients using a service mindset with a sense of urgency, while maintaining accuracy and pride in your work

  • Effectively partnering with engagement teams to clarify inquiries, address needs, and set clear expectations related to task processing
  • Resolving problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved or complex problems
  • Assisting Operations Lead with specialized projects, including reporting and data research, deliverable formatting and editing, process design, and additional tasks as assigned
  • Maintaining an environment of continuous learning for yourself and others by completing all training related to client requests, supporting peers in their learning, and enhancing task training resources whenever possible while ensuring alignment with subject matter experts

Your role.
Your Work Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $18.17 - $23.00

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group.
