Engagement Resources and Coordinator Specialist

Johnson Lambert LLP is currently seeking an Engagement Resources and Coordinator Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with Professional staff to perform or assist in effectively executing various aspects of client engagements. This is a fully remote position.

As an Engagement Resources and Coordinator Specialist you will perform designated tasks throughout the engagement cycle. You will directly support efforts to ensure a positive client experience by facilitating successful and timely kickoff and wrap up of audit engagements. The responsibilities of this role consist of a combination of administrative, compliance, and basic accounting work and will primarily be executed independently, with a heavy focus on written communication.

You will:

  • Prepare client correspondence for review
  • Send, receive and monitor requests related to our engagements
  • Maintain communication and collaboration with internal teams to ensure client materials received meet the needs for the execution of our services
  • Coordinate and communicate with team members to ensure a smooth engagement and escalate delays as appropriate
  • Format, proofread and draft client deliverables
  • Prepare and complete:
  • Client request lists
  • Engagement Letters
  • Audit confirmations
  • Accumulate and enter client data and analyze documentation for accuracy
  • Maintain and update client and engagement data and project statuses in workflow software
  • Effectively track and adhere to internal and external deadlines
  • Support evolving needs and projects across all business units

Qualifications & Selection Process

  • Follow written and oral directions and instructions; maintain client confidentiality
  • A self-starter with a service-minded attitude
  • Highly organized and structured when approaching tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to quickly learn new processes, applying them independently in various situations with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and organize workflow
  • Ability to work flexible schedule depending on on business needs

Desired Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Suite experience
  • Prior experience with accounting and/or tax software a plus (XCM/CCH Access Workflow, CaseWare, Suralink, Confirmation.com)
