Job summary

Westside Campus of Care is seeking an Activity/Recreation Assistant to support the Activity/Recreation Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity services to address the individualized needs and interests of patients.

You will help develop and deliver programs to promote engagement, maintain safety precautions for each patient, and encourage participation in arts, outings, religious, educational, and community activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with recreation coursework is desirable
• Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required
• Previous experience leading recreational activities or related programs desired

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs to promote patient engagement and functioning
• Maintain precautions/limitations list on each patient
• Encourage participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, outings, religious activities, educational activities, and community service
