Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Two years of professional library experience preferred in academic/research settings.
• Experience providing reference and research services.
• Experience developing instructional resources or library instruction preferred.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and research assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
• Oversee daily circulation desk operations, supervise staff, and ensure timely service.
• Develop online instructional resources including LibGuides and instructional videos.
• Plan and deliver library instruction in person and virtually to enhance research skills.
• Collaborate with departments to promote services and strengthen engagement with the College.
• Assess user needs and recommend enhancements to resources and collections.
• Support outreach and build relationships to increase utilization of library resources.
• Regularly assess the Klau Library Cincinnati facility and report conditions affecting safety and preservation.
• Assist the Library Director with stewardship and preservation of resources and assets.
