Job summary

Tutored by Teachers (TbT) is seeking a Ground Support Contractor to work on-site across schools in the Jackson-area and broader Louisiana region. You will help students log into the TbT platform, troubleshoot on-site tech issues, and support classroom logistics during tutoring sessions.

Ideal candidates have classroom experience, strong communication, and solid tech skills with Chromebooks and iPads. This is a part-time contractor role requiring on-site presence during school hours.

Qualifications

• Former classroom teacher or classroom experience required.
• Strong tech troubleshooting with Chromebooks and iPads.
• Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in logging into the TbT platform.
• Troubleshoot platform setup and on-site tech issues.
• Support classroom logistics during sessions.
• Collaborate with school staff on technology needs.
• Liaise with Partner Success Managers to report progress.
• Ensure laptops/tablets are functional and ready.

We are looking for a dedicated and tech-savvy Ground Support Contractor to join us on-site across schools in the Jackson and general Louisiana area.

The Role

As a Ground Support Contractor, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our tutoring sessions run smoothly inside classrooms. You’ll assist students in logging onto the Tutored by Teachers platform, troubleshoot basic tech issues, and support classroom logistics. You're an ideal candidate if you have experience as a classroom teacher and are comfortable with both technology and troubleshooting on-site issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in logging into Tutored by Teachers.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during platform setup or use.
• Provide on-the-ground support to students and teachers to ensure smooth implementation of the program.
• Collaborate with school staff to address any technology or classroom management issues.
• Communicate regularly with Tutored by Teachers Partner Success Managers to keep them updated on how the engagements are running.
• Ensure that all classroom technology (e.g., laptops, tablets) is functional and ready for use.

Requirements

• Former classroom teacher or classroom experience
• Strong technology skills and the ability to troubleshoot tech issues efficiently, especially with Chromebooks and iPads.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meets
• Dependable
• Effective communicator who collaborates seamlessly with students, school staff, and the TbT team
• Able to commit to on-site work at one or more schools in the Jackson-area during school hours
• Access to car, maintain driver's insurance, and ability to travel to school sites independently if you agree to do projects.
