You must be highly creative, love people, and be a self-starter who has a track record managing and delivering dynamic projects with minimal oversight. In addition, the person in this role will be responsible for building out a strategy to engage and grow early career talent through our career experience and intern programs. You will need to work collaboratively with recruiters, managers, and other support teams to ensure that our emerging talent employees are set up for success during their time in PD&M.

AREAS OF FOCUS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Event Design & Planning: Creating the visual and experiential aspects of an event to align with its goals and target audience; organizing and hosting events across settings (in-person, virtual, hybrid) that promote employee networking, volunteerism, growth, and development.
  2. Vendor Management: Identifying and choosing the right vendors based on their capabilities, pricing, and overall suitability, which can include working with an internal meetings & events team on the vetting process.
  3. Budget Management: Creating and maintaining budgets for events, including vendor negotiations (as needed).
  4. Community Building: Developing initiatives to engage with a community; creating and sharing educational content to support engagement; measuring and analyzing data related to employee motivation, satisfaction, and commitment.
  5. Strategic Communications: Intentionally planning and executing messages with a clear objective in mind, not just to inform but to persuade or motivate action towards engagement goals; will use internal communications channels such as Slack, email, and Keynote.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience supporting projects that focus on the events, learning, or employee engagement space.
  • You exhibit a growth mindset, demonstrated passion for learning and engagement, and natural curiosity.
  • A self-starter who is both proactive and accountable, with the ability to perform with minimal supervision and quickly unblock yourself when things are unclear.
  • Fountain of ideas and creative thinking who can think and implement quickly, laterally, independently, or collaboratively.
  • Flexible and eager to collaborate with others to see projects through completion.
  • Knowledge of and ease working in collaboration tools (ex: Quip, Slack) and productivity software (Numbers, Keynote).
  • Experience collaborating with highly matrixed and globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience prioritizing competing demands in a corporate environment.
  • Willing to flex from strategic to tactical work every day.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated history of increasing employee engagement at an organization.
  • Event production experience with the ability to advise others in this area.
  • End-to-end professional project management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close.
