Job summary

Quant seeks an Engagement Director to lead its US platform delivery from our Manhattan office, owning the client relationship and the overall outcome. You will set the operational direction, defend it when the client pushes back, and carry the commercial responsibility for the engagement.

There is no fixed playbook; you will shape how the operation runs, what the client can expect, and the terms on which it is judged, guiding the transformation with seasoned judgment.

Qualifications

• Experience running delivery ops for financial institutions under strict KPIs/SLA.
• Accountability for P&L and commercial outcomes.
• Credible in rooms with bank executives and with engineers.
• Proven track record in regulated environments with audits and change control.

Job description

We're partnering with Quant, a global leader in digital transformation and technology solutions, seeking an Engagement Director to join their team.

Quant is standing up a US operation to run its platform for institutions where precision matters and trust is earned. We're hiring the person who leads it from our Manhattan office and owns the client relationship behind it.

You're the person the client turns to for direction, and the one who stands behind the outcome — including when you need to explain what happened and what's changing as a result. You set the operational direction, defend it when the client pushes back, and carry the commercial responsibility for all of it.

There's no playbook for this role. How the operation runs, what the client can expect from it, and the terms on which it's judged are all still to be settled — and you'll be the one settling them.

You will need

• To have run a delivery operation for a financial institution under a contract with stringent KPIs and SLAs
• To have been accountable for a P&L
• Credibility in a room with bank executives and in a room with engineers — most people have one, not both
• Real experience of regulated environments: audit trails, examinations, and change control that has been tested by someone external

Useful, not essential

• Blockchain or distributed ledger exposure. We can support you to learn about our technology if you are the right person.
• Payments, market infrastructure or transaction banking.

About Quant:

Almost all the money in the economy is commercial bank money. Deposits, sitting on bank balance sheets, moving through payment systems designed decades before anyone had a reason to make money programmable. Almost none of it moves on chain.

Quant builds the infrastructure that changes that. Our technology lets a bank issue, move and settle its own money on programmable rails while staying connected to the systems it already runs on. That constraint is the reason this has taken as long as it has.

Central banks and commercial banks have built on our platform, including work on the digital pound and the digital euro. Its now a pivotal moment for us to bring our technology to the United States.
