Job description

Position Title: Engagement Coordinator (EcoCultura)
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Part-time Contractor (Remote in South Florida)

Live Arts Miami is seeking an Engagement Coordinator to advance its outreach efforts with the local climate community and the students and faculty of Miami Dade College in the context of LAM’s EcoCultura initiative, which fosters environmental awareness through the arts. LAM has a long-standing history of community- engaged arts programming as a means of changemaking, and intends to amplify the impact of its mission and the same of its partners through reciprocal relationships.

Scope of Work:
  • Work with the LAM team, artists, and partners to develop, coordinate and confirm all engagement programming and logistics around Live Arts Miami’s EcoCultura programming.
  • Identify and engage suitable partners from the local environmental community for specific projects; working with featured artists to deepen community relationships and expand connections.
  • Work with local artists to create educational workshops that tie together the arts and science for K-12 students.
  • Serve as the liaison to community partners and with other involved parties such as Miami Dade College faculty, Earth Ethics Institute staff and student organizations, including at all meetings and events.
  • Assist in marketing EcoCultura performances in the environmental community and to all partner networks; act as ambassador for the project to build audiences.
  • Capture media and content at educational events for LAM’s social media accounts.
  • Gather and evaluate student and community feedback at conclusion of engagement events.
  • Generate reports as needed, including compilation of relevant quantitative and qualitative data forinternal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with Managing Producer to recruit and manage volunteers for events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
