Job summary

AMIkids seeks a compassionate Part-time Engagement Coach to guide youth in academic and workforce development, in a safe, supportive environment. The role emphasizes one-on-one and small-group tutoring, advisory sessions, and collaboration with families to remove barriers to success.

Ideal candidates have an Associate (required) and possibly a Bachelor's degree, plus two years with youth. This part-time position includes benefits and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of experience working with middle or high school-aged youth.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Passion for working with youth and helping them succeed in school, life, and work.

Responsibilities

• Build advisory relationships with youth while guiding them through academic and workforce development programming.
• Supervise youth safety and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring and academic guidance.
• Lead advisory sessions and track progress toward educational and behavioral goals.
• Help youth develop personal responsibility, social and life skills, and job readiness.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians to support youth engagement and remove obstacles to success.
• Maintain accurate youth records and utilize instructional resources effectively.
• Participate in field trips, special activities, and community events.
• Attend required training and maintain First Aid/CPR and crisis intervention certifications.

What You Will Be Doing:
