Job summary

AlixPartners seeks an Engagement Accounting Analyst in Southfield, MI for a full-time hybrid role. You will partner with client engagement teams and the finance function to manage work in progress, accounts receivable, and client invoicing in line with contract terms, ensuring timely cash collection. The role requires solid accounting/finance experience, excellent communication, and comfort with AI-enabled tools.

Core hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with flexibility around U.S. business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Relevant accounting/finance experience preferred, preferably in consulting or professional services.
Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Monitor work in process and coordinate with engagement teams to issue client invoices on contract terms.
Manage time and expense fee adjustments, write-offs, transfers, and advances/retainers as approved.
Proactively communicate AR and WIP issues to management and engagement teams for timely invoicing and cash collection.
Assist in improving working capital management processes and adopt new tools and AI capabilities.
