Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach English on a part-time, semester-by-semester basis at the Valparaiso or Michigan City locations. Qualifications

• Master's degree in English from a regionally accredited institution.
• Alternative: Master's in any field with 18 graduate credits in English, linguistics, or related writing courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned English courses and facilitate student learning.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) and follow syllabus requirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions.
• Use Canvas, PowerPoint, and other technology as appropriate.
• Notify program chair in case of emergency absence.
• Promote diversity and inclusivity in all activities.
