Job summary

Attachment Parenting International is seeking a volunteer to help draft and edit a monthly eNewsletter. This role requires 2 to 5 hours of commitment per month, where you'll organize announcements and write themed content to reach thousands of subscribers.

The ideal candidate should possess good writing skills and experience in online content design. You'll have a chance to build your creative skills and utilize various resources while contributing to meaningful work for families.

Qualifications

• 2-5 hours available each month to draft and edit the newsletter.
• Ability to produce rough drafts and improve quickly.
• Experience with online publications is a plus.

Our research‑based parenting resources are low‑fee or free and can be found online, in community‑based parent groups or in parenting classes. We offer training for professionals who work with parents and caregivers and collaborative resources and a network for group leaders.

In a few hours each month, you'll use our tools, guides and regular feedback to draft, propose and edit our monthly enewsletter that is read by thousands of subscribers. You'll draft a short thematic introduction, organize announcements, events and actions to share with readers. You'll also build your own creative skills and experience using our widely used tools and resources on a kind, flexible schedule.

Requirements

• 2-5 real, honestly available hours per month
• Good writing skills
• Some experience designing things online, personal projects count
• Accountability, self‑discipline and time‑management to successfully meet kind deadlines, regularly, in a remote, online work environment.
• Mid‑level perfectionism that allows you to produce ugly rough drafts with a drive to improve quickly
• High initiative, motivation, willingness to adapt–learn–grow
