Job summary

Evergy is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Power and Revenue Accounting function in Topeka, KS. The role focuses on detailed analysis of generation, interchange, and load meter data and collaboration on system enhancements and regulatory reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting/Finance/IT or Business, strong Excel and PowerBI skills, SQL experience, and the ability to work in a team while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or Business-related field preferred.
• Experience in the regulated utility industry preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases preferred.
• Must have effective oral and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Document business system requirements for the Transmission System.
• Oversee system implementations and assist with testing materials.
• Develop processes, policies, design specs, and testing activities.
• Coordinate maintenance and support of systems with changing requirements.
• Troubleshoot problems and coordinate resolution.
• Improve division efficiency through data analysis and process improvements.
• Identify trends in Transmission System data and interpret them.
• Communicate with internal teams and external counterparties clearly.
• Oversee PowerBI analytics workspace, reports and dashboards.
