Job summary

BMO Capital Markets seeks a Senior Equity Research Associate or VP to join its Energy Transition & Infrastructure team. The role is based in the U.S.

with location options in New York or Houston and involves developing and marketing research across energy infrastructure and related technologies. The successful candidate will analyze financial statements, build valuation models, and produce research reports while interacting with institutional clients and management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Minimum three years of equity research or relevant industry experience.
• Strong financial background and track record of achievement.
• Proven ability to develop and market equity research products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial and valuation models (IS/BS/CF).
• Analyze financial statements, industry and company news.
• Review company filings (10-K, 10-Q, earnings releases) and transcripts.
• Write equity research reports and develop investment theses.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance research productivity.
• Participate in meetings with management and industry events.
• Develop tools to gather and analyze industry news for timely client products.
• Build industry and policy relationships to assess sector trends.
