Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact transformer-related projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage milestones, and ensure on-time delivery for strategic customers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience, a engineering or business background, and PMP is preferred with a Hitachi Energy certification to obtain within 2 years. Knowledge of SAP, MS Project, and North American energy sector is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience.
• PMP certification preferred; must obtain Hitachi Energy PM certification within 2 years.
• Proven ability to lead remote teams and manage scope, cost, and schedules.
• Experience with SAP, MS Project, and other PM tools.
• Knowledge of transformer manufacturing and North American energy sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects with clear goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Act as the primary contact for customers and resolve escalations.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Plan and manage scope, resources, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee project documentation for scope, budget, and risk management.
• Monitor progress to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate risks while sharing lessons learned.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
