Job summary

Talisman seeks a Head of Risk to lead the day-to-day risk function across its trading activities. This hands-on leadership role sits close to the desks with full ownership of market and counterparty risk, VaR, stress testing, and P&L attribution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk experience in energy or commodity trading.
• Experience leading risk teams and communicating risks to senior management.
• Strong technical expertise in VaR, stress testing, and basis risk.

Responsibilities

• Run daily risk process from deal capture to VaR, stress testing, and mark-to-market.
• Partner with traders to challenge positions and escalate risks.
• Manage day-to-day counterparty credit risk, collateral, and terms.
• Develop and automate risk reporting with Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with senior management on risk posture.
