Job summary

True Management LLC is seeking an entry-level Energy Technician to assist on-site with air sealing, insulation, and diagnostic tests. You will learn to install basic energy efficiency measures under supervision and document service reports while training alongside an experienced crew member.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in the trade, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required: 0–2 years in the trade.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Trade school or relevant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior techs on-site with air sealing, insulation, and diagnostic tests.
• Perform basic diagnostics and routine maintenance.
• Document service reports and maintain tools/equipment.
• Learn to install basic energy efficiency measures under supervision (insulation, air sealing, lighting, low-flow fixtures, thermostats).

Physical requirements:
Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather
Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday
Use repetitive hand motions & use of basic hand and power tools
Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)
Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed
Every applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, driving record check, and state and federal background checks. Spanish Speaking is a plus.
