Position Summary
The Energy Technician performs construction, maintenance, and service-related work on the electric distribution system, including overhead and underground power lines. This position supports the safe and reliable delivery of electrical service through line construction, troubleshooting, restoration activities, equipment operation, and system maintenance. Opportunities are available across multiple technician levels based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
This position offers a structured career path from Energy Technician I through Senior Energy Technician, providing opportunities for increasing responsibility, technical expertise, leadership, crew supervision, job planning, and training of other employees.

This position performs one or more covered or "safety sensitive" tasks that are regulated by the Department of Transportations (DOT) natural gas pipeline or commercial motor vehicle driver related regulations. Both types of jobs require that all individuals meet specific criteria, training, and pre-employment qualifications as defined by the DOT, which may include physical examinations and/or successful background information as required for the specific job.
