Job description

The Energy Technician performs construction, maintenance, and service-related work on the electric distribution system, including overhead and underground power lines. This position supports the safe and reliable delivery of electrical service through line construction, troubleshooting, restoration activities, equipment operation, and system maintenance. Opportunities are available across multiple technician levels based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Equivalent combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required and must meet company driving standards.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb poles and perform physically demanding utility work.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of equipment and materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Primarily outdoor construction, maintenance, and emergency response work.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, heights, and energized electrical equipment.
  • Participation in overtime and on-call assignments may be required.
