Description

Do you have a background in managing programs and building solutions for energy, utilities, or power systems? Are you excited to work on the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure? Are you passionate about making an impact in the energy industry? In this role, you will own a program for AWS power infrastructure, including reporting on portfolio metrics across AWS’s footprint. You will have end-to-end ownership for all program needs (program strategy, defining product requirements, influencing design, development, testing, deployment, adoption and maintenance of solutions that scale to meet AWS’s goals).

This role will own development of program mechanisms and technology solutions that deliver automation, data management, and analytics for our power program. The candidate will be comfortable managing competing priorities and be able to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous scenarios. A successful candidate will have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people at every level, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical engineering background, coupled with experience in program management, data, and analytics.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own program management for power programs throughout the lifecycle of strategic initiatives and analytics solutions.
  • Lead the development of metrics to ensure the most impactful delivery goals are formulated to meet program goals, including defining KPIs/SLA’s used to drive high impact business decisions and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally across leaders in the Infrastructure org to influence priorities and trade-offs, drive alignment, and execute development.
  • Create and execute plans to deliver complex cross-team programs and initiatives (e.g. building and managing interactivity between tools, increasing data quality, and accelerating customer adoption).
  • Drive process improvement to streamline execution of strategic initiatives and technology solutions.
  • Establish cadence to review overall performance of stakeholder teams, the timeline, and progress to overall deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, or MBA.
  • Experience solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries.
  • Experience developing operational processes and data insights.
  • Experience in business intelligence and analytics.
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
  • Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
