Job summary

Oak View Group's Coachella Valley Firebirds are seeking enthusiastic team members for the Energy Team during the 2026-27 season. You will help with in-game promotions, contests, and on-ice activities at Firebirds home games, engaging with fans and ensuring smooth event execution.

The role pays $20.00 per hour and is part-time. A 401(k) plan with employer matching is offered, and the position remains open until December 4, 2026.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and great organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and see projects through completion.
• Strong communication skills.
• Skating is a plus, but NOT required.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment.
• Ability to climb up and down stairs multiple times during a shift.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 80% of Firebirds' home games.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Working with the game director and manager on the preparation and organization of all entertainment aspects of the Firebirds’ home games.
• Assisting in execution of game night plans, mascot skits, and all contests/promotions on the ice and in the stands.
• Staging and maintenance of all in-game props and promotions.
• Organizing all game night set-up, including game night mapping, notes, walkthroughs, and other special event needs asrequired.
• Engage with fans during pre-game to bring in contestants and participation for in-game promotions and Zamboni rides.
• Assistsin inventory of all props and in-game fan giveaways.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Coachella Valley Firebirds are aiming to build the most entertaining environment in sports. We are looking for some enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible folks to serve as members of the Firebirds Energy Team for the 202 6 -202 7 season. This position provides a great opportunity to interact with our fans while learning about the operations of a professional hockey team. These members will assist with in-game promotions, contests, on-ice performances, and other activities during each Firebirds home game.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00

About The Venue

Acrisure Arena is the premier sports and entertainment venue in the greater Palm Springs area, an 11,000+ seat building hosting the biggest artists and acts on the planet. The arena is home to the Coachella Valley Firebirds, an AHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, who reached the Calder Cup Finals in each of their first two seasons and have established one of the best game-night atmospheres in minor league hockey.
