Job summary

EPRI is seeking an Energy Delivery & Utilization Applications Researcher/Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary projects addressing grid planning, DERs, and transportation tech. You’ll design experiments, apply ML/analytics, and communicate outcomes to utilities and stakeholders.

The role offers high autonomy, collaboration across teams, and opportunities for growth with travel to member sites and conferences. Remote work is considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 4–6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Master’s degree in a technical field with 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• PhD in a technical field with 0–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong client-service mindset and ability to engage with members.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end from scoping to delivery and client outcomes.
• Design experiments for new technologies in lab and field.
• Solve systems integration challenges with utilities, manufacturers, and other researchers.
• Apply data analytics, machine learning, and visualization to communicate results to diverse audiences.
• Engage directly with EPRI members to support business development and relationships.
• Present findings to members and the broader scientific community.
• Occasional travel to member locations, meetings, and conferences.
